Acuity Law advises Brickability Group plc on their acquisition of U Plastics Limited

Acuity is pleased to have advised Brickability Group plc (Brickability) on their acquisition of U Plastics Limited (U Plastics) in a deal worth £6,000,000.

U Plastics is a sector-leading construction materials distributor which provides fascia, soffits, guttering, external cladding and ancillary products.

The acquisition is Brickability’s second of 2020, having acquired McCann Roofing Products Limited last month, and once again increases and diversifies the Group’s product range and geographical presence.

Alan Simpson, CEO of Brickability, said: “Brickability is again delivering what it promised at IPO – acquisitions which support the future growth of the Company. U Plastics will add to our product offering, increasing and diversifying our range, as well as sharing a route-to-market. The acquisition brings strong management to the Group, which we value. I’m very pleased to see the progress we’re making with our acquisition strategy and look forward to seeing the positive contribution in the months and years ahead.”

Corporate partner Beverley Jones and associate Tom Saunderson led the transaction, with cross departmental support from Emma Hutchings, Charlotte Whitehead and Chris Doherty.
